Assistant Occupational Health and Safety Coordinator - OCC000188
Saskatchewan Highways and Infrastructure's Central Region is a seeking highly motivated and energetic individuals for the position of Assistant Occupational Health and Safety Co-ordinator to work in the Saskatoon office. You will have experience training ministry staff on safety and safety related issues. You will assist with conducting investigations of workplaces, accidents (someone is hurt), and incidences (no one is hurt). You will conduct workplace inspections. Audit and Assessment of work area would include: work zone signing, WHMIS, worksites (labs, field operations, shops, equipment service bays, contractor operations). Reporting to the Regional OH&S Co-ordinator, you will assist in the delivery of specified in-house safety program. You will monitor, document and maintain current safety records on a Provincial database for all regional personnel. You must be willing to travel and work flexible hours.
To qualify for this position you will be required to attain the following:
Level 1 and 2 OH&S Training;
experience in operating ministry equipment;
Hearing Testing Certification;
WHMIS Trainer Certification; and
Flagperson Trainer Certification.
