Manager, Marketing and Communications
This position has the primary responsibility to support specific sector initiates, and as well involves, marketing and advertising, stakeholder communications, media relations, social media, and communications support for events. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Manager plays an important role in the overall success of our organization through the provision of consistent, innovative marketing and communications initiatives.
The Manager, Marketing and Communications will be responsible to:
-Develop and implement an annual communications and marketing plan.
-Ensure all communications, media and marketing expenditures fall within authorized budget parameters.
-Manage all aspects of the corporate website and update information as required, including social media tools and alternate language tools.
-Develop and manage a strong and dynamic online presence for SREDA.
-Manage media relations including develop media plans and key messages, coach and prepare key spokespeople for interviews, write advisories, news releases and commentaries, and pitch stories.
-Prepare print and other multi-media advertising and track the success of those initiatives.
-Research other economic development agencies and jurisdictions to keep apprised of trends in the marketplace.
-Writes content for marketing and communication materials, including brochures, reports, websites, newsletters and articles, ensuring consistent and clear message is delivered.
-Develop, maintain and keep current all corporate marketing materials and related files such as videos, photos, logo files etc.
-Participate on committees established to support marketing, communications and promotion of the Saskatoon Region.
-Other duties as assigned by the CEO or their designate.
