Description

SRCs Mining and Minerals Division is seeking a Technologist to work with a team of scientists, engineers and technologists to provide laboratory and pilot plant support for the Minerals Business Unit. You will prepare mineral samples and conduct tests for analysis and perform a broad range of routine and more complex laboratory experiments. You will set up, monitor and maintain laboratory and pilot plant equipment. You will also develop new procedures and methods, and troubleshoot problems as required.  

As the ideal candidate, you have a technical diploma, a bachelors degree in engineering or science, or equivalent. You have experience working with dry and wet chemistry, and high-pressure and high-temperature equipment. You have a strong understanding of laboratory safety practices. You are a team player, but can also work independently to deliver quality work in a team environment.
