Description

Tisdale Community Library requires an Assistant Librarian with enthusiasm and passion for developing library programs using creative approaches.  Computer knowledge is required and a keen interest in literacy.

Duties:
-Accurate shelving of library materials
-Assist patrons with locating materials
-Assist with developing library programs
-Carry out interlibrary loan procedures
-Assist with the efficient operation of the library including circulation, reference, and mail
-Perofrm book repairs
-responsible for some evenings and Saturdays.

Knowledge, Ability and Skills:
-Completion of grade 12 or GED
-have a keen interest in books
-some skill in typing and computer knowledge
-ability to understand and follow written and oral instruction
-ability to establish and maintain good working relationships
-ability to work with the general public.
