Key responsibilities will include:
Conduct research into the feasibility, design, operation and performance of electrical generation and distribution networks, electrical machinery and components.
Electronic communications, electrical systems, equipment, and components
Prepare material cost and timing estimates, reports and design specifications for electrical and electronic systems and equipment
Design electrical systems in coordination with other major engineering disciplines
Supervise and inspect the installation, modification, testing and operation of electrical and electronic systems and equipment
Develop maintenance and operating standards for electrical and electronic systems and equipment
Investigate electrical or electronic failures
Prepare contract documents and evaluate tenders for construction or maintenance
Knowledge of controls using DCS graphics, PLC programming language and HMI (Human Machine Interface) configuration would be an asset
The successful candidate will have:
Professional Engineering designation from APEGS or another province.
Experience working in the consulting field, especially in the mining sector and, more specifically, potash mining, would be considered an asset.
Site experience and heavy industrial exposure would also be an asset for this position
