Description

The Vice President, Procurement leads, directs, and manages the development of strategic and corporate objective, setting direction and oversight of programs in the area of procurement, sourcing, contract management, and vendor relationship management for K+S Potash.  

The successful candidate will:
- Develop strategies, approves policy and programs in the area of Procurement in conjunction with the K+S Group
- Align Procurement policies and strategies with other KSPC approved strategies (e.g. Corporate Social Responsibility, Legal)
- Responsible for the people management within their department
- Ensure Project Team, Vendors, and PM Contractor are aligned to share a common understanding and aware of what is required of them
- Match and align selection of Procurement strategies to supply criticality and risk coverage
- Establish long-term, mutually beneficial relationships with core suppliers
- Responsible for managing consultants ensuring achievement of defined deliverables and providing guidance for project and operational requirements as needed
- Responsible for the monitoring and implementation of site-based programs during construction and operation, including on-site visits, inspections and management reviews included in the scope of responsibility
- Develop and manage budgets for Procurement
- Develop aggressive cost reduction goals through prices, rebates, payment plans, requisition, and vendor process improvements.

We require the following qualifications for this role:
- Post-secondary degree in Business, MBA preferred
- PMP certification or equivalent experience
- Specialized knowledge in mining industry
- High knowledge of the SAP system
- 10 to 15 years experience with project management, financial management, and procurement
- 5+ years of leadership experience.
