General Grain Farm Worker (K&LG Farms)
Job Description
We are a large grain only farming operation. All
of our equipment is relatively new, equipped with
GPS.The successful candidate will have the ability
to plant, cultivate and harvest crops by operating
large equipment (Tractors, Combines, Air Seeder,
Sprayers, Swathers). Will need experience as an
operator of farm machinery and physically capable
of general farm duties and labour.
Main Duties
Plant, fertilize, cultivate, spray, and harvest
crops
Much of the responsibility will be operating
farming equipment (Tractors, combines, Air
Seeders, Sprayers, Swathers, trackhoe, augers)
Maintain farm machinery and equipment
Cleaning of equipment and any cleaning as needed.
General farm labour
Perform other duties as need arises
Job Skills and Requirements
Experience with use and maintenance of farm
machinery and equipment an asset
Comfortable with GPS equipment in machinery an
asset
Team player willing to work long hours in peak
seasons
Class 1a an asset
Must possess valid class 5 drivers license or
equivalent with a clean driving record
