Description

The Five Hills Health Region (Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan) with a population of 57,000 requires the services of a full-time Emergency Room Physician. This position is complemented by a rotation of family physicians in providing on-site coverage in the Emergency Department at Moose Jaw Union Hospital on a 24 hour, 7 days-a-week basis.

Candidates are expected to:
- provide a high quality emergency medical service at this regional hospital;
- demonstrate relevant emergency room experience and certification (minimum of ACLS, ATLS, and ECG Interpretation); and
- be eligible for licensure with the provincial College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan.

MJUH is a 100 bed accredited, acute care facility with a five bed intensive care unit and a surgical staff of ten with specialties in General Surgery, Obstetrics/Gynecology, Urology, Orthopaedics and Ophthalmology, along with other medical specialists.

Moose Jaw is getting a new hospital - built on using Lean Philosophy and collaborative team-based care model - it will be one of the first of its kind in Canada! A new model of care will see health profesionals and support staff serving patients in a building designed to bring services to the patients as promptly and effectively as possible.
