Paramount Plantscapes Ltd. is now accepting resumes for experienced site supervisors and landscape labourers for the 2014 season.
Wages will be $16.00 - $20.00 per hour depending on experience and skills. Incentive bonuses up to $3.00 per hour are available for dependability, productivity, organization and commitment.
Duties include installation of paving stone patios, retaining walls, sod, large caliper trees, shrubs, ornate mulch, irrigation systems and water features. You will be required to do all labour necessary for these installations including but not limited to: digging, trenching, shovelling, moving material by wheelbarrow, planting and other related landscaping duties. You will also be required to lift 20-50kg.
Applicants for these positions will possess excellent problem solving skills. They will be required to organize and plan tasks for the project at hand. The ability to work well with others and with little supervision will be a definite asset. Supervisors will have several years of supervisory experience.
Assets for these positions are:
Stone Masonry experience
Skid steer operator certificate
Mini excavator operator certificate
3A drivers licence
Experience with vibrating plow and directional boring equipment
Operators will be evaluated on their abilities by a certified evaluator.
Due to strict timelines, applicants will possess at least 2 - 3 years of experience, but exceptions may be made for the right people at a training wage scale.
Applicants must have a valid driver's license with a clean driver abstract.
They must provide their own transportation to and from sites.
Start dates will vary depending on weather.
Candidates for these positions will be required to work until November 30,2014.
