We are currently accepting applications for a Concrete Finisher.
Turnbull Excavating Ltd. is an established construction company located in Estevan, Sk. We are involved in Municipal, commercial and Residential construction projects of various size and scale in Estevan and within 100 km radius.
Main Duties;
- Check formwork, granular base and steel reinforcemnet materials and direct placement of concrete into forms or onto surfaces according to grade
- Fill hollows and remove high spots to smooth freshly poured concrete
- Operate power vibrator to compact concrete
- Level top surface of concrete according to grade and depth specifications using straightedge or float
- Impert desired finish to concrete surfaces using hand and power tools
- Install anchor bolts, steel plates, door sills and other fixtures in freshly poured concrete
- Apply hardening and sealing compounds to cure surface of the concrete
- Waterproof, damp-proof and restore concrete surfaces
- Repair, resurface and replace worn or damaged sections of floors, walls, roads and other concrete structures
Qualifications; Preference to candidate with completion of 2-4 year apprenticeship program or Over 3 years of work experience in the trade. Must have a minimum of 3-5 years as a concrete finisher.
We offer competitve wage $30.00-40.00/ hour dependant on qualifications and experience.
Excellent benefits program. Relocation allowance after one year of service.
