Description

Bourgault Industries is a leading global manufacturer of technologically advanced seeding and tillage equipment. We are currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineer/Technologist to join our team in St. Brieux, Saskatchewan.

The purpose of this position is to assist with design, planning and management of projects involving:
- Installation or implementation of manufacturing equipment or facilities
- Implementation of process improvements that increase production efficiencies

Job responsibilities include:
Develop and document standard work, including work methods, cell layouts and value stream layouts.
Conduct process analysis involving observation of and interaction with the production team on the shop floor.
Gauge performance of value streams, identify bottlenecks and suggest/implement changes as required.
Conduct time studies to develop base times or evaluate different processes.
Design equipment, tooling, or processes  Implement lean manufacturing principles on the shop floor & in the office.
Implement changes to products due to manufacturing improvements.
Review engineering drawings prior to release to production.
Develop TPM schedules on key pieces of production equipment.

Qualifications:
Degree or diploma in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Agricultural Engineering or related field
Experience as a manufacturing or design engineer/technologist is an asset
Strong industrial/manufacturing engineering background
Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and their application
3D CAD experience (Solidworks preferred)
Design experience is an asset
Strong computer skills
Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills
Attention to detail
Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills
High degree of analytical thought and creativity
