Job Description
Key Functions / Responsibilities
Position Reports to: Shop Supervisor or as directed.
Diagnosing equipment problems in a minimal time and make necessary repairs
Requesting material / parts to complete all shop, field service requests
Responsible to ensure all work is completed in a safe manner
Providing detailed repair / service reports through the companies Maintenance Systems
Conferring with the Shop Supervisor regarding the extent of all repairs / services
Ensuring that all equipment assigned to you is operated in a safe and professional manner
Job task may change or be reassigned as required.
Job Requirements
Knowledge, skills and abilities
Red Seal Heavy Truck / Heavy Equipment Technician Certification required;
Must be able to meet all URS Safety requirements;
Experience 5+ years in a related industry (Oil Field preferred);
Diagnostic skills in all aspects of Truck and Equipment specializing in electrical and hydraulics;
Able to work flexible hours and weekends;
Ability to work with little supervision, adapt quickly to a rapidly changing environment;
Good Computer skills, and
Valid Drivers license class 3 with Air Brake endorsement preferred.
Terms of Employment
Permanent, full-time, shifts, overtime eligibility, day job, off site; Wage: $28.00 to $33.00 hourly, average of 37.5 hours per week; benefits as per Merit; group insurance benefits.
