Food Counter Attendant / Kitchen Helper - 3 Full Time Positions
- cleaning and using electrical appliances
- assisting baker with mixing dough and baking
- may receive payment for food items purchased
- wash work tables, cupboards and appliances
- unpack and store supplies in cupboards and other storage areas
- sweep and mop floors, and perform other duties to assist baker and kitchen staff
- perform other duties such as scraping and stacking dishes, and running errands
- heavy lifting required
Education: some secondary schooling
Experience: experience preferred but not required
Dishwashing Skills
- Scour pots and pans
- Sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand
- Clean and polish silverware
- Clean and sanitize items such as dishwasher mats, carts and waste disposal units
- Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware and flatware

Counter Attendant and Food Preparer Skills
- Use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice and trim foodstuffs
- Take customers' orders
- Stock refrigerators and salad bars
- Serve customers at counters or buffet tables
- Portion and wrap foods
- Package take-out food
- Prepare, heat and finish simple food items

Kitchen Helping Skills
- Wash, peel and cut vegetables and fruit
- Remove kitchen garbage and trash

- Clean and sanitize kitchen including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances and equipment
- Sweep and mop floors
Bussing Skills
- Replenish condiments and other supplies at tables and serving areas
- Load buspans and trays
- Clear and clean tables, trays and chairs
- Assist food and beverage servers in formal service activities
Weight Handling
- Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
