Description

Summary
The Technical Sales Representative combines technical knowledge with sales skills.  This individual articulates technology and product positioning to both business and technical users.

Job Duties
-    Perform professional presentations or demonstrations of company product(s)/service(s) while on-site.
-    Responds to functional and technical elements
-    Managing and interpreting customer requirements.
-    Offer after-sales support services.
-    Emphasize product/service features and benefits, quote prices, and prepare sales order forms and/or reports.
-    Attend weekly sales meetings.
-    Maintain accurate records, including sales call reports, expense reimbursement forms, and other documentation.
-    Where necessary, support marketing efforts such as trade show demonstrations, exhibits and other events.
-    Build and maintain ongoing awareness of new products and services, competitor activities, and other research.

Requirements
-    Previous work experience in an external sales capacity.
-    Solid experience in opportunity qualification, pre-visit planning, call control, account development, and time and territory management.
-    Strong knowledge of retail and/or wholesale sales principles, methods, practices, and techniques.
-    Knowledge of maintenance and repair operations.
-    Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with customers.
-    Exceptional verbal communication and presentation skills.
-    Excellent listening skills.
-    Strong written communication skills.
-    Able to perform basic calculations and mathematical figures.
-    Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
-    Must possess a valid drivers license, H2S and First Aid.

Working Conditions
-    Frequent travel is required, often up to several hours of driving per day.
-    Overtime as required.
-    Some on-call duty may be required.
