The City of Prince Albert invites applications for the permanent position of Recreation Manager in the Community Services Department. Reporting to the Director of Community Services the successful candidate will be responsible for administering the operation and programming of all civic recreation facilities and the delivery of City sponsored recreation programs as well as assisting community organizations in the delivery of neighborhood or city wide recreation programs.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage and provide direction to employees and programs within recreation division work areas.
Prepare, maintain and supervise budget for recreation division.
Form necessary partnerships with external agencies to develop and implement quality city-wide programs.
Research, write and follow-up with grant applications and programs.
Investigate and report on various recreation issues forwarded through City Council and public inquiries.
Develop strategic plans for the recreation division to fit within the Community Services Master Plan.
Develop and implement programs in response to public needs and in keeping with innovations in the industry.
Qualifications Include:
A four year degree in recreation or related field.
5 years experience working with community groups in the development, coordination and evaluation of sport, culture and recreation programs.
