Description

Fundraising:
With the assistance of the CEO and the Board of Directors, you will be responsible for:
- the development of a multi-year fundraising strategy
- develop a tactical plan and implement a fundraising strategy
- identify and approach suitable sources of funding
- reach out to former donors and potential donors, via phone, mail and email
- develop and coordinate mass communications
- work with the Board of Directors, CEO, Director of Programs and Services and other internal human resources for assistance in the implementation of fundraising strategies
- coordinate all media and advertising campaigns necessary for a fundraiser

Events Planning:
- develop a tactical plan and implement events for fundraising purposes
- perform hands-on duties as required to ensure successful events
- coordinate the use of volunteers and human resource personnel as necessary to ensure the success of all planned events
- coordinate all media and advertising campaigns necessary for an event

The successful candidate:
- must possess good organizational and planning skills, meet deadlines and follow-up in a timely manner
- must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills and work cooperatively with others
- must be proficient in standard computer application (MS Suite)
- knowledge of Canadian non-profit organizations, charitable donation processes, government assistance agencies, etc., would be an asset
- a strong and comprehensive knowledge in Planned Giving would be a definite asset

Required Area of Study / Major - Communications, Marketing, Commerce, Public Relations

Required Area of Experience: Fundraising, Non-Profit Organizations

This part-time position is based on 20 hours per week.
