The Museums Association of Saskatchewan is the provincial umbrella organization for museums and
museum workers. We serve the people of Saskatchewan through the advancement of their museums.
MAS leads and supports the Saskatchewan museum sector through professional development and
training activities, consultation services and facilitating public engagement and networking
opportunities.
We are seeking a full time permanent Communications Coordinator. We offer a small office
environment to someone who enjoys variety, is comfortable multitasking and who can work
independently and in a team setting.
Reporting to the Executive Director the responsibilities of the position will focus on planning,
evaluation, and administration of all communications programs and services of MAS. Activities include,
but are not limited to: coordinate the development and production of key messages, images and branding
as required; planning, editing, design and distribution of Association print and electronic material
including: website, Facebook page, Twitter feed, occasional publications, newsletters, brochures, media
releases, promotional material, and member reports; facilitating the writing, production and distribution
of promotional material for all MAS program areas; oversee the production of membership materials;
planning, design and production of paid advertisements as required; oversee the planning, production
and promotion of the annual MAS conference; and participate in the research and writing of funding
applications and follow-up reports.
