Description

Duties and responsibilities:
Under the direction of the Senior Counsellor, the
Counsellor is responsible for the safety and
enjoyment of campers at all times.  Duties
include:
-Ensuring the safety and well being of campers at
all times
-Providing attendant care
-Creating an environment in which campers can
experience emotional growth and development
-Ensuring campers have an enjoyable vacation
-Scheduling appropriate activities for the cabin
group
-Participating actively with campers in program
areas
-Documenting and reporting relevant information
regarding the camper?s health and safety; includes
camper reports
-Maintaining cabins and surrounding area in a neat
and orderly fashion
-Under the direction of the Camp Nurse, may be
responsible for the distribution of medication
-Other duties as specified by the Senior
Counsellor

Qualifications:
-Ability to work with people with disabilities
-Effective interpersonal, problem solving and
conflict resolution skills
-Oral communication skills
-Positive attitude
The final candidates are required to provide a
satisfactory Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable
Sector Search
