The Northwest School Division #203 is looking for a highly trustworthy, personally motivated and enthusiastic professional who's passionate about human resources to assume the responsibilities of Officer. This is an HR Generalist role with a focus on support staff related labour relations. This position is a full-time permanent position with duties at the School Division Office located in Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan. The duties will commence as soon as mutually agreeable.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Collective bargaining, negotiations, labour-management relations, providing contract and regulatory (LSA, TUA, WCA, EA, OHSA, SHRC, etc.) interpretation, compliance, and corrective action related advice to Administrators, Managers, Superintendents and Supervisors
- HR Generalist related - policy development and implementation, recruitment, selection, retention, succession planning, staffing, performance management, employee relations, compensation systems, job assessment, attendance management, conflict resolution, safety programs, WCB-LTD claims management, wellness initiatives, training, leaves\absences processing-entitlement determination, familiarity with HRIS's
- Provide guidance, direction and mentoring to human resources support staff
