POSITION AND RESPONSIBILITIES
You will provide technical and analytical support, maintenance and
quality assurance for the projects radiation program. You will
advise and design the radiation protection aspects of the technical
projects for other departments, as well as lead projects within the
radiation department.
You will demonstrate and implement ALARA principles and conduct
technical research and development related to the measuring and
monitoring of radiation. You will also provide routine departmental
support which includes representing the department in job hazard
analyses, performing sampling, completing incident investigations,
managing radiation monitoring data and generating reports. In
addition, you provide backup for the radiation protection officer as
required.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS
Requirements of the position:
Bachelors degree in physics, engineering physics, or a related
science
Three to five years relevant work experience
Equivalent combination of education and work experience
considered
Excellent communication, interpersonal and analytical skills
Strong computer skills
Work a rotational schedule and commute to site by aircraft
Assets:
Previous work experience with radiation protection principles
and data analysis techniques
