Description

Willow Cree Health Services Corp. is seeking a full time Director of Health responsible for the overall direction and management of an evolving health care system which meets the needs of the Beardys & Okemasis First Nation Band Membership. In accordance with orientations and policies, the Director of Health plans, develops, organizes, directs and controls all the activities, services and programs under the jurisdiction of Willow Cree Health Services, Board of Health and Beardys & Okemasis First Nation. The incumbent is responsible for the implementation of sound and effective management practices and will develop a health care system that is holistic in nature.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with First Nations and a strong background in health services.
Salary: Starting $50,000 based on education and experience plus benefits.
Qualifications/Experience:
    Post-secondary degree in Health Sciences or Human Services or related field.
    Knowledge of contribution agreements and other funding agreements
    Thorough knowledge of and a demonstrated competence in organizational management, and health care administration
    Experience working effectively with First Nation individuals, groups, families and communities
    Awareness of First Nation values, culture and traditions
    Fluency in the Cree Language is an asset
    Valid drivers license
    CPIC(Criminal Record Check)
    Vulnerable Sector Check (letter of request available by contacting Human Resources)
