DUTIES:

Reporting to the Foreman, Wastewater Collection, the Distribution & Collection Operator will be responsible for performing operation, maintenance, inspection and monitoring of the wastewater collection system.  Duties also include sampling, data collection, data entry and preparation of supporting documentation including record keeping.  This position requires on-call, shift and weekend work.  Some heavy lifting and manual labour is required along with other duties as assigned.  The City of Lloydminster requires all employees to be active members in our Safety Management System.


QUALIFICATIONS:

A minimum Grade 12 plus post-secondary from an accredited institute in the field of water treatment/waste management technology or acceptable equivalent is preferred.  The successful applicant will be required to upgrade qualifications during the course of employment.

Must possess and maintain a valid Class 5 Vehicle Operator's License registered in Alberta or Saskatchewan with a clean driving record.  A valid Class 3 Vehicle Operators License would be considered an asset.  Must be in good physical condition.
