Description

Position Title:  Community Engagement Coordinator
Where:  McClure United Church
Term:  Full-time (40 hours/week) from  May 12  
August 15
Renumeration:  $10/hour

*this position is open to all post-secondary
students or high school graduates who will be
attending a post-secondary institution in the
fall*

Responsibilities:
1.    To work closely with the ministry staff in
developing and implementing summer programs that
will:
    Engage people of all ages, focusing
especially on children and youth;
    Create opportunities for people to gather
to learn more about each other and their
community;
    Raise awareness about the United Church of
Canada and McClure United Church in the wider
community.

2.    To assist in planning and providing
leadership for McClures Vacation Bible School
program

3.    To work closely with the McClure Place
Activities Director to plan and provide leadership
for activities with seniors, both from McClure
Place and the wider community.

4.    Attend Saskatoons summer festivals in an
effort to raise awareness of and promote McClure
United Church.

The successful applicant will:
    Be self-motivated, organized, energetic
and creative
    Be able to engage with with people of all
ages, especially children and seniors
    Be comfortable with the Christian faith
and familiar with the United Church of Canada

Accountability and Support:
    Day-to-day supervision will be provided by
the McClure United Church Ministry staff.
    Weekly goal setting and accountability
meetings will be expected as per the agreement
with the Summer Job Grant program.
