Description

AMECs Mining & Metals business performs consulting and EPCM services for many of the worlds leading mining companies and is executing world-class projects on five continents.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Electrical/Instrumentation & Controls Engineer-in-Training. Reporting to the Manager, EIC, this position is located in our Saskatoon, Saskatchewan office.  If you are looking for a challenging opportunity and a chance to work with experts in the industry, were the engineering firm for you.

Responsibilities:
Under the guidance and supervision of senior engineers:
Providing assistance with engineering design on light to heavy industrial projects.
Assisting with the review of project documents prior to issue for scope and presentation, including verifying technical accuracy.
Learning and understanding process flows as well as engineering protocols.
Preparing plans and reports with related engineering calculations.
Developing specifications.
Demonstrating effective organizational skills and handling multiple tasks independently, and as part of a team.
Establishing and developing communication with internal AMEC personnel to ensure that work flows smoothly, and providing support to various team members.

Qualifications:
B.Sc in Electrical/Instrumentation Engineering
Previous co-op experience would be considered an asset
Excellent knowledge of relevant software programs
Ability to prepare plans and reports
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a team environment
