Description

Pineland Co-op is currently recruiting for the position of Yard Supervisor at the Home Centre Lumber Department.  


Primary Duties:
1.    To load and unload lumber merchandise from trucks and maintain cleanliness, rotation and order of merchandise in the yard and to be responsible for monitoring inventory levels, rotating product, putting all new product away and reporting deficiencies to the Assistant Lumber Manager or designate.
2.    To coordinate, assign and review the work of employees engaged in the following duties: shipping, receiving, storing, distributing and maintaining inventories of materials, parts and products, scheduling transportations crews and routes and other related duties.
3.    To be responsible for supervision of employees and handling employee relations matters as per policy.
4.    To be responsible for daily communication and planning with the Assistant Lumber Manager or designate.  
5.    To be responsible for proper handling/storage of all materials and returns.
6.    To be responsible for staging and transfers of material for deliveries and transfers.
7.    To operate and maintain all equipment and tools in a safe and responsible matter.
8.    To come to work with a positive, professional approach and attitude.
9.    To provide outstanding courteous customer service in person and on the telephone.
10.    To be familiar with and adhere to all Pineland Co-op Policies and Procedures.
11.    To be responsible for handling customer complaints as per policy.
12.    To be responsible for productivity of employees and to help motivate employees.
13.    To be responsible for training new employees as directed.
14.    To perform other duties as assigned.

Must have valid driver licence.
Must be willing to obtain forklift certification.
