Responsibilities include:
Actively demonstrate a commitment to Safety and Environmental stewardship
Assume high level ownership of the Process Data Systems and Control System, including developing vision, consolidating standards and administering vendor support contracts and services as required
Apply metallurgical accounting principles, as well as monitor and report on mill performance and project work
Apply investigative and continuous improvement principles at personal, group and operational levels
Develop expertise in various unit operations (such as acid leaching, counter current decantation, solvent extraction, precipitation and water treatment) and provide training to others
Coordinate activities, information, materials and/or resources within areas of responsibility to meet deadlines and project requirements
Provide technical support to all mill departments (Operations, Environment, Radiation Protection, etc)
Liaise with external resources as required (vendors, Engineering and Projects Department in Saskatoon)
Skills and Qualifications for the position include:
Bachelors degree in Metallurgical or Chemical Engineering and eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer in Saskatchewan
Ideal candidate will have at least of 5 years experience in mineral and/or chemical processing
Ideal candidate will have experience with data historians, relational databases, industrial communication protocols and other data systems
Working knowledge of process design and metallurgical unit operations

7 day in/out work schedule
Pick-Up Points: Saskatoon, Prince Albert, La Ronge, Buffalo Narrows and the designated communities in the Athabasca region.
