Description

Are you looking for a long-term position with a
company that has a solid track record of
continuous growth?
Position: Welder
Location: Oxbow, SK (the unique opportunity of a
big-city job in a small-town setting!)
About Us: Established in 1991, Saskarc Industries
is an industry-leading custom metal fabricator,
project management and equipment sales and rental
company. We fabricate heavy plate projects as well
as structural steel fabrications. Our equipment
team offers decades of combined experience in the
sales and rental of light towers, heaters,
generators, pumps and more. We serve the oil and
gas, power generation, mining, construction,
government and petrochemical industries in
Saskatchewan and Alberta.
Responsibilities: Reporting to the Lead Hands, you
will be responsible for welding out our custom
steel fabrications. You will assist our Fitters in
tack welding components in place, understanding
the reaction of metal and heat to determine the
correct sequence of welds to ensure the accuracy
of the structure's dimensions and elimination of
distortion due to heat input. We are not a
production line shop; everything we make is custom
and so there is a great variety of work. All of
our work is done to CWB or higher standards and we
are looking for people who are well developed in
the craft of welding to fulfill this role.
Qualifications: This position requires 2 or more
years of welding experience with heavy plate and
structural carbon steels. Stainless steel
experience is an asset.
Benefits: Saskarc Industries offers a competitive
compensation package in an area with a modest cost
of living. This includes a solid base salary
commensurate with experience and ability, as well
as:
3 weeks vacation annually
Health insurance plan
RRSP contributions
Friendly, supportive work environment
Financially successful and stable industry leader
