Controller/CFO
Pekarbilt is a group of companies that is involved with residential construction projects, commercial construction, land development and modular homes. We are in need of a strong financial leader to help us build our organization and to ensure the day to day operations run efficiently and expediently. We are currently a company of approximately 25 people and have many outside sub trades, suppliers and service providers with which we work. Our CFO would also be required to work under the guidance and direction of our outside accounting and tax counsel. Our organization currently uses a combination of QuickBooks and Sage Construction 300.
Job/Projects
Set up projects within our accounting software
Manage and monitor all intercompany transactions
Run monthly job costs and work in progress reports
Prepare semi-monthly bank draw requests through our various companies
Prepare regular mortgage draws on our single family homes
Manage and monitor monthly remittances
Manage client closings and final payment for residential clients
Manage and close all of our jobs in a timely manner
Manage cash flows
Accounts Receivable
Prepare, report and bill all of our clients and companies on a monthly basis
Manage receivables and collect billings
Monitor AR and resolve issues
Accounts Payable
Manage invoice entry into the system and ensure invoices are moving through system in a timely manner
Manage our internal purchasing and cost coding system
Prepare, report and issue cheque run semi-monthly on all companies
Receive calls relating to payable and resolve issues
Payroll
Manage employee time through our online cloud based time management software
Prepare twice a month payroll through our internal electronic funds transfer system
Prepare monthly employee reports to management to show resource use through companies and analyze efficiency
