The Lighthouse Supported Living is a non-profit
charitable organization that provides housing for
low income families; reduced market housing for
families and singles with moderate incomes as well
as supported housing for adults with persistent
barriers to housing in the private market.
The Lighthouses current housing portfolio is made
up of over 100 rental units in Saskatoon.
POSITION SUMMARY
Under the general supervision of the Executive
Director, carries out administrative duties as
they pertain to applicants and tenants of The
Lighthouse Affordable Housing. The Community
Housing First Resource Worker is to compile
suitable rental accommodations & connect with
landlords to move people staying in emergency
shelters & the stabilization unit into long term
permanent housing. The worker will know housing &
community supports available.
Key responsibilities include:
Oversea rent collection and ensure it is done in a
timely manner with accurate daily reports.
Market units to prospective applicants;
Conduct Annual Reviews in a timely manner as
needed;
Record and maintain tenant information in HIFIS;
including updates, entering queries, gathering
statistics and developing forms with the approval
of the Executive Director;
Register and file claims of monetary orders for
outstanding accounts with the Residential Tenancy
Branch with the approval of the Executive
Director;
Coordinate, prepare and service of Notice to End a
Residential Tenancy forms; follow up phone calls;
In collaboration with the Executive Director,
coordinate evidence and documentation to be
submitted for hearings at the Office of
Residential Tenancies.
Conduct new tenant interviews;
Maintain the tenant unit files by ensuring file
documents pertaining to tenant relations and
issues are up to date;
Other related duties as required.
