Description

The Co-op Refinery Complex (CRC) is currently recruiting for two Turnaround Schedulers who are responsible for preparing a detailed comprehensive schedule for Turnaround work plans and maintaining that schedule to real time during the execution stage. Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  -Develops a defined equipment listing to create a comprehensive work schedule to optimize the resources required to efficiently complete the Turnaround plan in conjunction with CRCs Equipment Maintenance Cycle
  -Updates, revises, and details the Turnaround schedule
  -Defines critical and sub-critical path activities
  -Resource loads the Turnaround work schedule to determine manpower, external hires, and contractor requirements to effectively execute the plan in the scheduled time frame
  -Acts as a liaison between the Turnaround planning group and other key stakeholders
  -Generates and distributes schedule reports and communicates project status to other departments
  -Requests daily updates from CRC work groups and Contractors on labour and equipment
  -Assists with Turnaround cost analysis
  -Analyzes project schedule issues and proposes corrective actions
  -Participates and provides input on post Turnaround lessons learned
  -Participates in special assignments and other duties as assigned

Qualifications include the completion of Grade 12 and formal education in computerized scheduling software (preferably Primavera P6). Other qualifications include:

  -A minimum of 2-5 years related experience using scheduling software or a minimum of 10 years working in the Petroleum Industry as a recognized tradesperson with an understanding of maintenance activities
  -Planning and Scheduling Professional (PSP) or Project Management Professional (PMP) designation would be an asset
  -Strong leadership, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills (written and oral)
