The Saskatchewan Indian Institute of Technology has delivered the SIIT Process Operation Technician (POT) program in Meadow Lake for nearly ten years. The program covers 4th class power engineering and process operation-specific curriculum. SIIT will also be delivering a 4th class power engineering program in Regina starting in September, 2014. The Institute is recruiting for a full-time Program Head who can provide direction and leadership in our delivery of power engineering in the province of Saskatchewan.

Duties:
Reporting to the Associate Dean, Trades and Industrial department:
    Responsible for the delivery of SIIT power engineering programming in the province.
    Manage staff in the SIIT power engineering programs.
    Manage and enhance the SIIT power engineering program advisory process.
    Develop and maintain collaborative partnerships with potential employers in the province.

Qualifications:
    Power Engineer certification (minimum 3rd class, 2nd class is preferred).
    Other related post-secondary certification is an asset.
    Experience in the development and/or delivery of power engineering programming.
    Experience in adult education, particularly with First Nation adults is an asset.
    Good computer skills, including use of the internet, MS Office, training simulators.
    Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
    Knowledge of a First Nation language or culture is an asset.

Location:        The position can be based out of Regina or Meadow Lake.
