Summer Student will work together with WCAs Program Team, in recreational & leisure activities, implementing educational and innovative programs, which are designed to enrich the lives of the individuals we support and help them develop daily living skills.
DUTIES INCLUDE:
Assisting groups of individuals with developmental disabilities to live enriched lives by supporting them in recreational & leisure activities, going on trips, and attending events; assist with educational & innovative programs.
Summer Student will work alongside regular team members providing care, assistance and support as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must exhibit a positive attitude and maintain high level of confidentiality. Must have good organizational and communication skills. Eligible criteria of a Summer Student must be met, i.e. must be between 15-30 years old, registered as a full time student in the previous academic year and intend to return to school on a full time basis in the next academic year. Must be a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident and legally entitled to work in Canada.
Majority of hours are Monday to Friday 8:00am to 4:00pm, approximately working an average of 35 hour per week
