Description

The Summer Events Coordinator supports fundraising and administrative activities in conjunction with other Fundraising staff.  

Major projects will include Hit-A-Ball for MS, SnapQuest and MS Bike. Major activities include program development and delivery, volunteer/participant recruitment and management, promotion and marketing as well as program evaluation.

Major Responsibilities:
    Promote, coordinate, and deliver the Hit-A-Ball for MS golf campaign at a minimum of 27 tournaments
    Assist with recruitment, marketing and execution of the SnapQuest corporate scavenger hunt
    Assist in the preparation for MS Bike: in particular, recruiting and stewarding new cyclists and soliciting prizes for door prizes

Other:
    Attend and participate in the A&W Cruisin for a Cause event
    Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
    Enrolled in post-secondary education with an interest in marketing, sports management, or special events
    Must be comfortable calling businesses and individuals to solicit participants, sponsorship and prizes for events
    Computer skills required - Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Publisher
    Must be able to work well as a member of a team but also independently
    Proven organizational skills
    Strong public relations and customer service skills
    Drivers license and access to a vehicle.  Some travel, evening and weekend work will be required.
