Description

In this role, you will assist Superintendents in all aspect of clerical activities specific to one or more job-sites. Responsibilities include ensuring timecards are accurate, handling field purchase orders, recording meeting minutes, preparing job costs, maintaining site safety and clerical paperwork, filing and other duties as assigned. Other activities may include orientating new employees, distributing documents to any onsite clients or engineering firms and maintaining the cleanliness of the office and camp facilities (where applicable).
Some of your day to day responsibilities will include:
    Data coding and entry for payroll applications, equipment, and job costing;     this includes detailing employee and equipment work hour spreadsheets,     ensuring their accuracy and calculating extra work orders;
    Assisting Accounts Receivable and Payables at head office, etc.;
    Records tool box meeting minutes, ensures hazard assessments are     completed, and perform site inspections with site superintendents;
    Inventory, order and track site supplies e.g. water, tools and safety     supplies, that are required on site to ensure that adequate stock is available     to maintain jobsite efficiency and safety;
    Assist jobsite supervisor with paper co-ordination, phone calls and errands     (typically involves picking up materials and parts for onsite construction) to     maintain jobsite productivity;
    Meeting new site personnel and conducting initial orientations.
The ideal candidate will have 2 years related experience, possess organizational skills and communicate both effectively and tactfully with a wide variety of individuals.
This role requires an individual with the skills to work safely, quickly and productively and without error and consistently meet the production goals set out by the Site Superintendent, as well as the ability to effectively work within a diverse team.
