This is a direct service position working directly with clients from 2-5 years of age presenting with an ASD in a one to one setting in a clinical and home environment. The behavior therapist will be responsible for delivering programming developed specifically for each child. The worker will work under the direction of the Senior Therapist and the supervision of the Director of the ABA Program.
Qualifications
Completion a University Degree in a field related to human services or other relevant disciplines (i.e. psychology, behaviour analysis, education)
Demonstrated understanding of autism spectrum disorders
Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills and demonstrated ability to work respectfully and cooperatively individually and with other team members and families
Possess a valid driverss licence and access to a vehicle is required
1-2 years experience in working with preschool-aged children.
Assets
1-2 years experience in the delivery of ABA or IBI programs
12 months experience in the delivery of educational/therapeutic programs for children with ASD is required

Is responsible for the provision of direct intervention to ASD clients and their families through the delivery of programming developed by the Director of the Program
This is a term position. 25 hours per week at $ 22.29 per hour. The prospective applicant must be available between the hours of 8:00 am 5:00 pm.
