Description

This position provides high quality interest rate risk simulation and other strategic financial advisory services that meet the needs of credit union clients.  You will provide specialized knowledge in the area of interest rate risk management by identifying and measuring interest rate risk; analyzing simulation results in terms of interest rate risk; preparing interest rate risk forecasts; developing on and off-balance sheet strategy recommendations; and applying knowledge of financial modeling techniques and financial management concepts for the enhancement of the interest rate risk simulation.  

The Finance Manager will enhance client profitability and efficiency by providing additional services such as liquidity management, derivative management, budget development and pricing strategies. You will also enhance department profitability by building and fostering strong long-term client relationships through regular contact by means of visitation, phone calls, etc.; educating clients on financial management concepts and balance sheet management strategies; understanding and recommending appropriate products and services to clients.

Completion of a diploma or degree in business, finance or economics and enrolment in a professional designation (e.g. CFA, CMA) plus 1 year experience in the financial management field.  An equivalent combination of education and experience in finance, accounting or economics may be considered.  Preference will be shown to candidates with working knowledge of financial modeling, comprehensive financial analysis and modeling skills and/or working knowledge of balance sheet management of profitability and risk for financial institutions.
