JOB SUMMARY:
The position of RDO (Registered Distribution Operator) is responsible for the distribution of refrigerated products to a network of customers serviced by the Saputo Dairy Division in Saskatchewan. The route will service the Kindersley area including Macklin, Kerrobert, Rosetown and other surrounding stops.
JOB DUTIES:
Safe delivery of products to customers in a prompt and reliable manner, including rotation of product at customers premises.
Operates their vehicle in a safe and courteous manner in compliance with Saputo standards, Provincial Motor Vehicle regulations and National Safety Code legislation.
4am start for workday.
Maintain log books, complete pre and post trip inspections and report all accidents.
Fuel and Maintain your vehicle to Saputo standards.
Maintain the Saputo departure/arrival schedule to the best of your ability.
Use handheld computer inventory/invoice system, and collect C.O.D. payments.
Ensure all loads are secure.
Follow all Saputo Health & Safety Safe Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Follow all guidelines, protocol and procedures identified with the RDO Agreement.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Provide power equipment meeting Saputo standards.
Valid Class 1A
Bondable
Food service or grocery delivery experience preferred.
Satisfactory driving record ,current drivers abstract required.
Carry minimum insurance requirements as set out by Saputo.
Dependable and conscientious.
Physically fit.
Positive attitude and proven skills in customer relations / customer service.
Good communication and organizational skills.
Ability to consistently meet schedules.
Provide a Business Plan based on the proforma provided.
