Description

SSRID#1 is the largest irrigation district in the province, owned and operated by the irrigators it serves and is currently supplying water resources to 37,000 acres with the intention for significant expansion.

Reporting to the Board of Trustees the successful candidate will assist the Board in leading irrigation development in the Lake Diefenbaker area. The manager will be required to liaison with irrigators, government agencies and supply companies. Expansion of irrigated acres and acquiring additional sources of funding will be key responsibilities as well as assisting the Board in influencing government policies and programs.

The successful candidate will have highly developed skills in human resources, project management and specifically strong public relation skills. A minimum of five years experience in ag business management.   Background in agriculture, irrigation, engineering and government liaison would be a desired asset.
