The Saskatchewan Indian Institute of Technologies (SIIT) has an opening for a student who is looking for employment within the Marketing & Communications department. This position will be located in Saskatoon.
TASKS AND DUTIES:
All duties pertaining to administrative (secretarial/clerical) related duties such as: filing, organizing and updating of the student recruitment contact databases, mailing and inventory of all publications utilized by student recruitment, statistical entry into reports.
All duties pertaining to student recruitment and marketing such as: assist the recruitment officers in presentation building, photography, assist with promotional items, research on competitor institutions, and research effective marketing strategies that could be applied to SIIT programs.
All duties pertaining to communications such as: calendar organization, student handbook development, assist in gathering website content and development as related to student recruitment.
The summer student will also participate in event coordination of student recruitment events and activities in the summer months
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be pursuing post-secondary (i.e. degree, diploma, or certificate) for the coming fall school year (2014) in either Arts & Science, Business Administration, Education, or related field
Student Recruitment experience would be an asset.
Good interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
Functional computer knowledge and skills in word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.
Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
A pleasant disposition and appearance is necessary in the daily meeting of the public.
Excellent telephone communication skills are a prerequisite for the incumbent of this position.
A good knowledge of the Saskatchewan Indian Institute of Technologies and its programs would be an asset.
