Reporting to the VP, Internal Audit, the Supervisor, IT Audit leads audit evaluations determining the adequacy and effectiveness of IT infrastructure, operating systems, application systems and controls in the PotashCorp global environment. The Supervisor maintains the IT risk assessment and evaluates corporate risk mitigation related to complex applications, security, data protection, disaster recovery, data centre operations, and system dependability. This position plans and executes technical engagements, has high-level management visibility in addressing critical issues and making recommendations relating to the risks associated with current and emerging technologies. The Supervisor must adhere to the IIAs Code of Ethics and International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing and to those of any IT professional associations as applicable in delivery of all Internal Audit Department services.
The successful candidate will possess a university degree preferably in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field. A minimum of eight years of experience is required in an information systems environment or related experience identifying IT risks and conducting and managing projects or audits in a large business setting. An applicable Professional Certification such as the Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) or in process of attaining certification is also required. Extensive experience with operating systems, networking, programming, and IT security, or experience in Information System Design is necessary. Working knowledge of mainframes, client/server architecture, LAN and telecommunication technologies, knowledge of system development methodologies, business application development and general IT controls, and knowledge of hardware and systems including servers, desktop PCs, mobile devices, network infrastructure and security tools is essential.
