We are accepting applications for a Power Generation Technician to support our new 24/ 365 prime power plant business (both Diesel and Gas), as well as support for Lean Burn Gas standby power installation. This field service positions will be stationed out of Lloydminster, SK branch, working at the Onion Lake site. Reporting to the Power Plant Systems Team Leader, the position is responsible for:
Troubleshooting, repairing, and general preventative maintenance of all complex engine and control systems, including unplanned service events, on 24/365 power plant systems
Performing start up and commissioning services to new 24/ 365 power plant systems and factory acceptance testing at packaging facilities
Providing excellent customer service to all power plant systems customers and provide ongoing operator training as required
Providing emergency support for large prime power plants and Lean Burn Gas standby power systems on a rotating basis
Job Requirements:
Must hold a valid Red Seal Journeyman qualification as a Millwright or Heavy Duty Equipment
Previous power generation experience in controls (AC/DC), PLCs, Switchgear and paralleling equipment, remote networks is an asset
Previous experience in high horsepower (HHP) lean burn gas engines and gas compression engines is an asset
Must have a valid drivers license and clean drivers abstract
Ability to work unsupervised and a motived self-starter
Flexibility with respect to shift work and overtime with ability to be on the on call rotation
Must be able to work from a field service truck in all weather conditions
