Primary Responsibilities:
Distribute special order parts by following through on installation or delivery to Customers.
Assist Customers by properly identifying needed items, using parts catalogs or microfiche, price items and print tickets.
Make necessary entries to inventory control system assuring proper records are kept with current pricing, as well as the recording and entering of special orders.
Participate with an annual physical inventory counting of all items.
Participate in the preparation of the annual parts return to the manufacturer.
Maintain periodical parts returns as needed; filing claims as directed by Parts Manager.
Assist in verifying cost, price and totals of Parts Invoices and Repair Orders.
Immediately greet every Customer upon arrival in the Department.
Make sure the Technician or Customer receives the correct part and on time, as promised.
Always properly track lost sales.
Make every effort to fill Customers need for out-of-stock or non-stocked items.
Develop the ability of Suggestive Selling. strategy
Study and stay current on new product bulletins and catalogs including keeping current on manufacturers terms, discounts and special programs
Always complete required documents before disbursing parts.
Be complete and concise in entering all necessary information in the inventory control system records.
Always see that defective merchandise is tagged properly with date, correct part number and filed in warranty bins.
Return all unsold merchandise immediately to the correct stock location.
