Description

We are looking for a Transportation Supervisor to
fill a full time permanent job in Regina, SK. Our
client is one of the global leaders in selling,
marketing and product distribution and believes in
growth for their employees both personally and
professionally. Reporting to the Transportation
Manager, you will be responsible for managing,
coordinating and ensuring all contracted drivers
are in compliance with all safety and policies
standards.

Responsibilities of the Transportation Supervisor
will include:
Provide superior customer service. Communicating
clearly to all customers internal and external
Perform personnel duties including hiring and
termination of contracted drivers
Communicate and administer Company programs,
policies and procedures.  Hold regular meetings as
required
Coordinate training and orientation for new
contracted drivers
Ensure the safety, maintenance and licensing of
trailers.  Coordinate repairs and rentals
Monitor all delivery issues such as short-on-
truck, damaged-on-truck and scanning rates

The transpiration Supervisor Job Requires:
Minimum three to five years experience in
distribution and transportation operations
Strong knowledge of government regulations
relating to transportation and safety (DOT, OSHA,
EPA and HAACP requirements)
Valid 1A license or willingness to obtain 1A
license
Transportation supervisory experience an asset
Strong computer skills:  Advanced skills in
Microsoft Excel are required in order to create
reports and analyze data using spreadsheets,
graphs and charts
Experience with Roadnet or comparable routing
software, and proficiency in computer
applications, is necessary
Ability to maintain professionalism and build
positive relationships with all with internal and
external customers
