Description

Reporting to the Transportation Manager, this position is responsible to manage, coordinate and ensure contracted drivers are in compliance with all safety and Sysco policy standards. Responsibilities include: Communicating clearly to all customers; Perform personnel duties including hiring and termination of drivers; Communicate and administer Company programs, policies and procedures; Coordinate training and orientation for new drivers; Track drivers performance and personnel files and follow through with disciplinary action as required;  Maintain current safety records and administer audits as required; Work closely with the Transportation Manager providing recommendations on delivery performance and providing regular transportation data by analyzing reports on a daily, weekly, or periodic basis; Visit internal and external customers identifying delivery concerns and provide solutions; Responsible for the safety, maintenance & licensing of Sysco trailers.  Coordinate repairs & rentals; Monitor all delivery issues such as short-on-truck, damaged-on-truck & scanning rates; and resolve customer service and delivery issues.

Candidate Qualifications:
3-5 years experience in distribution or transportation operations; experience with government regulations relating to transportation and safety (DOT, OSHA, EPA and HAACP requirements);Valid 1A license or willingness to obtain 1A license within 6 months of employment; Transportation supervisory experience an asset; Strong computer skills with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel; Experience with Roadnet or comparable routing software; Ability to maintain professionalism and build positive relationships with all customers; Excellent verbal & written communication skills; and Knowledge of the Saskatchewan urban & rural transportation network is an asset.

Schedule: 9:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. Monday - Friday
