Description

Intermediate Project Engineer
Pro Canada West Energy Inc. is an Energy Infrastructure Construction Company from Midale, Saskatchewan.
Reporting to the Project Controls Manager, is responsible to work with a skilled team of construction personnel in a fast paced, multidisciplinary environment to complete a wide range of project controls projects and processes through the application of professional engineering principles and practices in support of all of PCWEs contract requirements.  This is a contract position with a five month term with the potential for extension.
Position Responsibilities:
Conduct professional Project Management; provide estimates and develop project business cases; execute conceptual designs; engage consultants; prepare change orders; vendor selection; monitor construction; control costs; commission; and customer handover
Bring a solutions mindset and strive to provide competitive advantage to the business
Communicate regularly with contractor staff, functional authorities, senior management and other stakeholders to ensure effective integration and prioritization of technical issues and activities.
Develop cost estimates for change orders and additional contract requests
Apply engineering principles to provide technical solutions to resolve design issues during construction.
Maintain a safe working environment for internal and external employees on assigned projects by promoting a strong safety culture, enforcing all safety guidelines and ensuring compliance under legislation and Corporate requirements
Embed Corporate Social Responsibility in day to day thinking and actions
Position Requirements (Experience, Technical Expertise):
2 to 5 years of experience in project management roles is preferred
Mechanical, earthwork, piping and other relevant industrial experience is needed
Sound knowledge of OH&S policies, procedures and regulations
Computer literate for all MS Office (incl. MS Project) and AutoCAD softwa
