Large Animal practise oriented. Must be physically able to assist vet on farm, assist with routine semen testing, preg. testing, calving, etc. Willingness to work/share in after hours calls as required. Processing of lab samples and requisition. Assist in regulatory vet paperwork. Must hold a valid drivers licence. Communication skills and ability to work in a team environment a must.

Specific Skills
- Administer treatments as prescribed by veterinarian
- Produce diagnostic radiographs, collect samples and perform other laboratory tests
- Prepare and administer medications and vaccines under direction of veterinarian
- Handle, restrain and care for animals undergoing treatment and surgery
- Counsel clients on animal health care
- Conduct specialized procedures on animals such as animal identification and hoof trimming
- Conduct and assist in laboratory research
- Assist veterinarian before, during and after surgery
