Description

Progressive dairy and grain operation requires a full time person who has dairy and grain farming experience.  We are located 3.5 miles from a major trade center with most amenities available.
Starting wage $16. to $20. per hour based on experience.

Skills Required:
Valid driver's license and own reliable vehicle.
Ability to operate tractors, tandem trucks and skid steer.

Applicant needs to be self motivated, able to follow instructions, observe and perform jobs without supervision and feel comfortable with cows.

Willing to learn other jobs as needed.
Experience in milking cows, and humanely managing and caring for cows and calves an asset.
Training will be available.

Duties:
Milking cows 2 x daily at 4 a.m. and 4 p.m.
Ability to do all jobs associated with cow and calf care and comfort.
Keeping milking and feed room facilities clean.
Assist on herd health and DHI testing days.
