Job description
You will be working at the tunnel heading during the excavation and installation of the initial support with estimated duration of two years. Your responsibilities will include ensuring that the works are carried out safely and according to specifications; and immediately responding to any unexpected and potentially hazardous situation, such as abrupt change of soil conditions, loss of ground, unusual ground movement or water influx. In addition you will be collecting information about actual field conditions and documenting the various construction activities.
Qualifications
At least 10 years of hands-on field experience in NATM tunneling and a vocational diploma/certificate. Ideally you have previously worked for a Contractor as shifter, walker and tunnel superintendent. You should be experienced and knowledgeable in all construction steps, materials and equipment used.
