Description

Our client has recently acquired this facility
near Saskatoon SK.The mill is in a refurbishing
and construction phase for the next 18 months.
Prior to start-up of a fully operational pulp
facility, our client is producing green energy
through the combustion of waste wood and sludge
residuals and then selling the generated
electricity back to the power grid.
Responsibilities
Is responsible for providing knowledge and
expertise in the leadership and coordination of
all Occupational Health & Safety and loss
prevention programs
To ensure the safety and wellbeing of employees
and company property.
The incumbent provides expertise and guidance to
all levels of management to promote a culture that
ensures the highest standards of safety and
occupational health.
The Health & Safety Coordinator is responsible for
management and coordination of Emergency Response
Services for the site, including Fire/Rescue,
First Aid and Site Security.
Qualifications
Minimum of five (5) years directly related
experience in Occupational Health & Safety within
pulp and paper industry
Bachelors Degree in Applied or Basic Science,
Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene or a
related field.
Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) or
Construction Safety Officer (CSO) inclusive of
Radiation Safety Officer (RSO) and Certified
Training Practitioner (CTP) designation would be
preferred.
