Description
The selected candidate will report to the Power and Recovery Manager, and is responsible for the overall operation of the power plant. Other duties include operating the steam header system, the power boiler if required, the TG1 and is responsible for power and steam shedding, and operating the bubbling fluidized bed boiler and associated hog delivery equipment and ash system.
You will also be required to:
Direct personnel on shift
Ensure the health and safety of the crew and support staff
Focus on daily operational practices and provide resources for the crew as required
Collaborate with Power and Recovery Manager to establish crew members operational practices and individual development
Adhere to the collective Agreement
Coordinate maintenance activities with maintenance crew
Lead crew in creating and implementing standard practices across Steam & Recovery and Hog Fuel System
Qualifications
Second Class Engineering Certificate
Experience in a pulp mill facility or power engineering plant is required
